Privacy Policy — Cleo Community (iOS)

This Privacy Policy explains how Cleo Lifestyle, trading as Cleo Lifestyle("Cleo," "we," "us," "our"), handles your information in the Cleo Communityapp foriOS (the "App"). It does not cover the cleolifestyle.com online store, which has its ownnotice.

By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
 At a glance
-The App works mostly on your device. Your rituals, streak, points, dosha result,  bookmarks, and settings are stored on your iPhoneusing iOS storage — not on our servers.
-You sign in with Apple. We receive your name and email only the first time you sign in. If you choose Hide My Email, we receive a private Apple relay address instead of your personal email.
-Marketing is opt-in and off by default. We only copy your profile off your device if you switch it on, and you can turn it off or delete everything in Settings → Settings & Privacy.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, run ads, use analytics SDKs, or  \record your screen, and we do not sell your personal information. The App does not  ask for App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track you.

 2. Information we collect
 a. Account information (Sign in with Apple)
To use the App you sign in with Apple. We receive a stable Apple user identifier and,only on your first sign-in, your name and email (Apple does not resend these on later sign-ins). If you use Hide My Email, the email is a private relay address that forwards to your inbox. We never receive your Apple password.
 b. Information stored on your device
As you use the App it stores the following locally on your device; by default this information stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- Your dosha (Ayurvedic body-type) quiz result;
- Ritual activity — bottle fills, water logged, daily "dinacharya" check-ins;
- Streak, loyalty points, total rituals, and rewards progress;
- Bookmarks and eBook reading progress;
-App settings and reminder times.
 c. Marketing-list information (only if you opt in)
If you turn on "Marketing & updates" (off by default), we copy a snapshot of your profile to our marketing list so we can send you relevant tips, content, and offers. That snapshot contains: name and email (or your Apple relay address); dosha, hydration style, and onboarding status; streak, total rituals, and points; join date and last-active date;timezone, device platform ("ios"), and App version; and your consent status and the policy version you agreed to.
Some of this (for example your dosha and hydration habits) relates to your wellness. We treat it with care and collect, sync, or use it for marketing only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
d. Information collected automatically
We keep this to a minimum. The App contains no analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs and uses no advertising identifier (IDFA). When the App connects to the internet — to sync your marketing list (only if you opted in) or to load content such as product images, eBooks, or podcast links — the receiving server processes standard technical data such as your **IP address**, as is inherent to any internet request. We do not use this to track you across apps or websites.
 e. What we do not collect
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, calendar, photos, biometric data, health records, or any cross-app/advertising identifiers, and we do not record your screen.
 3. How we use your information
- To provide the App and your account, and recognise you across sessions (name, email/relay,  Apple identifier);
- To store your ritual progress, streak, points, and settings (on-device);
- To send you marketing communications, tips, and offers — only with your consent;
- To keep your marketing profile current for relevant content — only with your consent;
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug problems;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use your information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
We rely on consent (marketing, and wellness-related data such as dosha),performance of a contract (providing the App and account),legitimate interests(security and abuse prevention), and legal obligation.
5. Consent and your choices
- Marketing collection is opt-in and off by default; nothing leaves your device for  marketing unless you turn it on.
- Turn it off any time in Settings → Settings & Privacy → Marketing & updates; we then   remove your profile from our marketing list.
Delete your account and data in the same screen. This wipes local data and removes   your profile from our marketing list. To detach Sign in with Apple itself, go to iOS  Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple → Cleo Community → Stop using Apple ID.
- Declining or withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent you from using the App.
 6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Apple Inc. — to provide Sign in with Apple;
Google LLC — the cloud service we use to store the marketing list (when the feature   is enabled);
- any email/marketing provider we engage to send communications you have consented to;
- linked services you choose to open — our store on cleolifestyle.com (Shopify) and  our podcast on Spotify, each under their own privacy policies;
legal and safety recipients where required; and in a business transfer.
>*If we change marketing-list providers, we will update this Policy.*
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent, as well as to complain to a data-protection authority. You can withdraw marketing consent and delete your account directly in the App; for other requests email Hello@cleo-home.com.
EEA / UK (GDPR): you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
UAE (PDPL): we handle personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of n  2021; you may contact the UAE Data Office.
California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of "sale"  or "sharing" — we do not sell or share personal information as defined, and we will  not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
 8. International data transfers
We are based in the UAE; our service providers (such as Apple and Google) may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
 9. Data retention
On-device data remains until you delete your account or the App. Marketing-list data is kept until you opt out, delete your account, or it is no longer needed. Consent records may be retained longer where needed as proof of compliance.
 10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) for any data sent off your device, access controls on our marketing list, and data minimisation. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
11. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowinglycollect their personal information. Contact Hello@cleo-home.com if you believe achild has provided us information.
 12. Push notifications
If you enable reminders, the App may send notifications (e.g. fill/drink-water reminders). Manage or disable them in iOS Settings. We do not use notifications to collect additional personal information.

13. Third-party links
The App links to cleolifestyle.com (Shopify) and Spotify, which have their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a renewed consent request in the App.
