Terms of Service — Cleo Community (iOS)

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cleo Community application for iOS (the "App" or "Licensed Application"), published by Cleo Lifestyle, trading as Cleo Lifestyle ("Cleo," "we," "us," "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms are an agreement between you and Cleo. Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms (see Section 16).
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
- The App uses Sign in with Apple. We receive your stable Apple user identifier, and
your name and email only the first time you sign in (Apple does not resend them on later sign-ins). If you use Hide My Email, we receive a private relay address rather than your personal email. You are responsible for activity under your account.
2. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, or create derivative works of the App except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
3. Wellness, not medical advice
Cleo Community is a wellness and lifestyle companion built around daily ritual. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. All content — including recipes, the dosha quiz, Ayurvedic guidance, hydration prompts, and editorial material — is for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before changing your diet, supplements, or routine, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or managing a health condition. You use this information at your own risk.
4. Rituals, streaks, points, rewards, and milestones
The App includes engagement features such as streaks, loyalty points, rewards, andnmilestones. These are provided for motivation and engagement only. They:
- have no monetary value, are not currency, and are not redeemable for cash;
- are personal to your account and non-transferable;
- may be adjusted, expired, or discontinued by us at any time, including to correct errors or address misuse.
5. Purchases and third-party services
The App links out to third-party services governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not these Terms:
- Cleo Lifestyle online store (cleolifestyle.com, hosted by Shopify) — any purchase of physical products is a transaction with the store under its terms; the App does not process payments.
- Spotify — podcast and audio links open in Spotify.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their availability.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful purpose; interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data; probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the App; submit false information; or use automated means to access the App in a way that burdens our infrastructure. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that violates these Terms.
7. Intellectual property
The App and all of its content, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, the "Cleo" marks, and software are owned by or licensed to Cleo and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the licence in Section 2, no rights are granted to you.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, including the opt-in marketing data collection (off by default). By using the App you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLEO AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP (IF ANY) OR USD 50. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cleo and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time in Settings → Settings & Privacy → Delete account, which removes Cleo data stored on your device. Note that revoking the Sign in with Apple credential itself is done by you in iOS Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Sections 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 16 survive termination.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of united States , Wyoming is the state, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the"Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notice in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Apple App Store — additional terms
This Section applies because you obtained the App from the Apple App Store. You acknowledge and agree:
1. Acknowledgement. These Terms are between you and Cleo only, not with Apple. Cleo, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
2. Scope of licence. The licence granted to you is limited to a non-transferable licence
to use the App on any Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
3. Maintenance and support. Cleo is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the App. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support \services.
4. Warranty. Cleo is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App to you (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
5. Product claims. Cleo, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a> third party relating to the App or your use of it, including: (i) product-liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to applicable legal or regulatory> requirements; and (iii) claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
6. Intellectual property. In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Cleo, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of any such claim.
7. Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country
subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that
you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
8. Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the App.
9. Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
